Learn words that talk about different weather, like rain, snow, and thunder, and understand how weather can change plans and make people feel both disappointed and amused.

Last weekend, I planned a picnic with my friends. We chose a beautiful park and were all excited. In the morning, the weather was sunny and warm, so I packed everything: sandwiches, juice, and a blanket. I was sure it would be a perfect day.
But as soon as we arrived at the park, the weather started to change. First, a cold breeze blew through the trees, and the sky turned cloudy. We thought it might rain, but we stayed positive. However, after an hour, it began to rain heavily. We ran for shelter under a tree, but the rain didn’t stop.
Then, to our surprise, it started to snow! In the middle of spring! We couldn’t believe it. The temperature dropped, and it became freezing cold. Our picnic was ruined. We were all so cold and wet that we decided to leave. As we walked back to the car, there was even thunder and lightning. It felt like we had experienced every type of weather in just one day!
Although our picnic was a disaster, we laughed about it afterward. Next time, we’ll definitely check the weather forecast before planning an outdoor activity!
