Last Saturday, my friends and I went to the beach for a fun day in the sun. The weather was warm and perfect for swimming. As soon as we arrived, we spread out our towels on the soft sand and set up a large umbrella for some shade. The waves were crashing against the shore, and we could hear the sound of the ocean.

We all ran towards the water, excited to swim. The ocean was refreshing, but the water was a little salty. After swimming for a while, we decided to build a sandcastle. It was big and had tall towers and a wide moat around it. Some people nearby were flying kites, and the colorful designs looked amazing against the clear blue sky.

Later in the afternoon, we played a game of beach volleyball. The sand made it hard to run, but we laughed the whole time. When we got tired, we sat down to enjoy some snacks. I had a cold ice cream cone, and my friends brought some cold drinks from the nearby snack bar.

Before leaving, we watched the sunset. The sky turned orange and pink, and it was the perfect end to our beach day. We all agreed that we needed to come back to the beach soon!
